Greetings to you all. I bring to you good-news from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That wonderful news is found in just these three words “It is finished”. These words leaves us to just one question in mind, What is finished? When our Lord Jesus said that on the cross, what was he talking about or referring to.

John 19:30: when Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said it is finished; and he bowed his head , an gave up the ghost.

In the previous verse of this scripture vs 28, it was recorded that “Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scriptures might be fulfilled, saith , I thirst.”
That is to say, he knew that the end of all things has come and he has accomplished all that he came for. this will lead us to take a look at the purpose of Jesus and why He came.

What was His mission

  • He came so that all men will be saved and have eternal life through Him.

In that package of eternal life, comes healing, deliverance, riches, abundance, grace and all the wonderful things we can ever think of.
That is why Apostle Paul can boldly say it is no longer I that liveth, but Christ that lives in me. this is because he understood the finished works on the cross. Christ has done it all. He has brought all things under our authority. its just for us to live in dominion.
Do you now understand this. cos’ when he shouted “It is Finished”, it was a shout of victory, not of defeat. For me, it is finished means

  • sickness is over cos’ am healed by His stripes
  • poverty is over cos’ he became poor that i might be rich
  • struggle with sin is over cos’ Christ is my righteousness and it is no longer I that lives but Christ.
  • I have joy cos’ Christ has borne my griefs and carried my sorrows and much more.

What does these words mean to you. An understanding of that statement, will make your life victorious as you live everyday in dominion  than ever and your walk with Christ joyful like never before.
I pray that the good Lord will enlighten the eyes of your understanding; that ye may know the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints through Christ Our Lord and Savior Amen.
